About
Delaware FC is a not-for-profit organization formed to promote the development of youth soccer. Delaware FC is committed to support the communities across the entire state of Delaware and surrounding areas. For over 35 years Delaware FC has been providing engaging soccer programs so players of all ages and skill levels can learn and enjoy the beautiful game. With our recreational leagues, competitive leagues, and soccer camps our players are able to enjoy participation, sportsmanship, teamwork, and progress to higher levels of competition. DEFC offers programs for kids at all talent levels, from TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer), which is a community-based training program for all athletes with intellectual, emotional, and or physical disabilities; to players that are just starting, recreational-level soccer; to competitive soccer with players striving to be elite and potentially compete at the collegiate level and beyond. DEFC provides high level training with top-notch facilities. At the younger age groups we focus significant attention on individual development, building toward team play, and while we all like to win we don’t compromise development to win matches at U9 and U10. As kids get older the focus shifts to team play with more emphasis on playing highly competitive soccer in and around the region.

Notable achievements
COLLEGE PATHWAY
DEFC has a long track record of placing players at all collegiate levels as well as several players at the professional level. Our experienced staff understands the process of recruitment through college and pro-level identification. DEFC provides a pathway for high school players and families who aspire to play at the college level. Players are provided resources to help navigate the recruiting and ID process and are offered opportunities to be seen and evaluated by college coaches.
Given our long history and track record of developing and placing players at the collegiate level we also know the reality of and the percentage of club soccer players playing at the collegiate level. Unlike many so-called “Elite” clubs we do not make false promises of a collegiate career. What we do promise is to provide the development, training, competition, and resources to our players who are interested in playing at the collegiate level.
