The Colorado Rapids are looking to strengthen their defensive line with Australian left-back Alex Gersbach. The 25-year-old left-back’s contract is coming to an end this year as he signed a 2-year contract with division 2 French team Grenoble back in 2021.
The Australian has played a total of 42 games with Grenoble and 6 games with the Australian National team, although he wasn’t selected to be a part of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Gersbach is currently valued at around $1m.
The Colorado Rapids are also expected to offer a three-year contract to 28-year-old center-back Andreas Maxsø from Brøndby IF. It is clear that the Rapid’s main focus this transfer window is to strengthen their defensive line as they conceded 57 goals last season and missed the playoffs.
