Sources confirmed Thursday that the deal between the Colorado Rapids and Danish Superliga team Brøndby IF for 28-year-old center-back Andreas Maxsø is almost done. Maxsø is from Denmark and plays for Brøndby IF. The deal has to be approved by the league and pending medical examination and tests.
The Colorado Rapids are expected to offer Maxsø a three-year deal with an additional option for a fourth year. The 6′ 3″ center-back captained the Danish team Brøndby IF for the last 3 years. The Rapids are in desperate need of reinforcement in the back as they conceded 57 goals last season and missed the playoffs.
