After making significant progress in negotiations with Shakhtar Donetsk on their star winger Mykhailo Mudryk, Arsenal has moved closer to acquiring the winger. Shakhtar is keen on getting €100 million from Arsenal despite that being a number Arsenal is not willing to meet.
Although this is indeed a hefty price tag for a 22-year old, it has not stopped other Premier League teams this season from signing young stars for that price tag. The most recent was Brazilian winger Antony who managed to get Manchester United to pay €95 for him from Ajax.
Sources report that Arsenal is willing to structure the deal of €100 in a way where both sides benefit if it is centered around the final structure of the transfer, rather than the initial fee, with the potential add-ons the key point of the discussions.
