CHELSEA TRANSFER MARKET

Chelsea FC has been one the more active clubs in this summer’s transfer market in trying to secure signings for next season’s Premier League campaign.

The Blues have been linked with Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling, Leeds United Raphinha, and most recently, Frenkie De Jong of FC Barcelona. It’s widely reported that Raheem Sterling is on the cusp of joining Chelsea as he has reportedly agreed to personal terms with the team and all that is left is the final details amongst both clubs. Chelsea plans to make the move official within the coming days.

It makes sense for Chelsea to be this aggressive as they have lost three vital first-team players since the transfer window opened. Romelu Lukaku re joined his ex-club Inter Milan on a season long loan after an underwhelming season at the bridge. Antonio Rudiger joined the champions of Europe, after his contract with Chelsea came to and end. Andreas Christensen has departed on a free as well for FC Barcelona.

With those departures, it has forced Chelsea to open up the check book and strengthen their squad as they hope to compete for the Premier League title alongside Manchester City and Liverpool respectively.
