The New York Red Bulls are set to make a $5m transfer signing for 24-year-old Belgium striker Dante Vanzeir. Vanzeir’s current club Union SG is said to have made a verbal agreement with the New York Red Bulls on the offer. This deal would be New York’s franchise record fee for a player in their history.
The Belgium striker is in fine form this season as he currently has 28 games played across all competitions with 12 goals and 2 assists, including Champions League qualification rounds and Europa League. In total since 2020 with current club Union SG , Vanzeir has 91 games played with 48 goals and 21 assists
On the horizon, the New York Red Bulls have also been in communication with Kyle Duncan, a former NY RB academy player, which now plays for Belgium side KV Oostende. The 25-year-old right-back has a contract with the Belgium club until 2025 and is currently valued at around $2m.
