Denis Zakaria is currently on loan at Chelsea, but Juventus is willing to sell him to the Blues or let him sign with another Premier League team when his time at Stamford Bridge comes to an end. On the last day of the transfer window in the summer, Zakaria inked an agreement to join Chelsea on loan, and the deal included an option that would cost £27 million to make the move permanent.
The 26-year-old center midfielder is a less expensive alternative for the Blues to consider in the central midfield position in comparison to top targets such as Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice.
But, a lot will rely on Chelsea’s financial situation when it comes to UEFA’s new Financial Sustainability Regulations. The London club has already garnered a lot of attention for spending a total of £500 million over the course of the last two transfer windows.
Juventus, after being accused of breaking financial restrictions, which resulted in the Italian giants receiving a 15-point punishment in Serie A, find themselves in an unfortunate position. Because the club is trying to get its finances in order, it seems likely that Zakaria will be traded during the summer, and it might be to Chelsea or to another team entirely.
