Lisandro Martinez is a professional footballer from Argentina who is now playing for Eredivisie club Ajax and the Argentina national team. He is 24 years old and primarily plays center defender for both teams.
Martinez began his professional career at Newell’s Old Boys. In 2017, he joined Defensa y Justicia, originally on loan, then became a permanent member of the team in 2018. He signed a contract with Ajax in 2019, and since then the club has won two Eredivisie titles and one KNVB Cup. In the 2021–22 season, he was named Ajax Player of the Year and went on to win the accolade.
Before making his debut with the senior Argentina national team in March 2019, Martnez competed for Argentina at the under-20 and under-23 levels. He was a member of the teams that triumphed in both the 2021 Copa América and the 2022 Finalissima championships.
