Manchester United is looking for options to offload some of their players in the upcoming summer transfer window to raise funds and bring in players centered around Erik Ten Hag’s style of play. At the top of this list, it is rumored to be Harry Maguire and Anthony Martial.
Anthony Martial’s contract is set to expire in 2024 and if Manchester United are looking to offload the French forward, the time to do it would be in the summer transfer window so they can recover some of the $65m spent on him when they signed him from AS Monaco. Although the rumors are spreading on a potential move for Martial, Ten Hag has been positive about Martial’s outcomes.
“Anthony Martial can create something with his movement, ball handling, intelligence and finishing.” say Ten Hag. Other sources are reporting that a clear replacement for Anthony Martial could be in-form striker from Napoli, Victor Osimhen.
On the other end of the spectrum, Harry Maguire is also a potential candidate to help raise funds for the English giants. Maguire signed with Manchester United back in 2019 for a defender record-breaking fee of $96m on a 6-year deal from Leicester City. Ten Hag’s choice of center backs currently is Varane and Martinez, with Maguire coming off the bench.
