Arsenal are already making preparations to strengthen their squad in anticipation of their return to the tournament. According to internal team sources, Arteta is only interested in adding players who have previous experience competing in Europe.
One of the people he is keeping an eye on is Sterling, who has past experience working along side Arteta in Manchester City. Arsenal’s relentless pursuit of the Premier League championship has all but ensured that they will be playing in the Champions League during the next campaign – making it even more obvious Arsenal directors and management are looking to bring in more depth to their squad.

It is important to note that it is not believed that Sterling is interested in leaving Chelsea, and the Blues are not advertising his services either. However, Chelsea will have to make some difficult decisions when it comes to the sales of players after they bolstered their squad to an unsustainable level over the past 12 months.
Just who they offload is still in the unknown – but sources are confident that Chelsea is expected to offload players.
