Weston McKennie Leeds United Transfer

Weston McKennie has recently been linked with a move out of Italian club Juventus and could be heading to the Premier League. The 24-year-old Texas native moved to Juventus in 2021 from German club Schalke 04. Recent news reported that Juventus obtained a 15-point deduction due to illegal financial decisions made by the club and is currently sitting outside of Champions League spots.

The decision for McKennie will be tough, as Juventus is still a top Italian club and has been receiving plenty of playing time from Massimiliano Allegri. But the move to the Premier League could be one that has been on McKennie’s radar for a while, especially if he can link up with fellow American players Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams at Leeds United.

Other notable Premier League clubs reported to be interested in Weston McKennie’s services include Aston Villa and Bournemouth. It is likely that Juventus would be willing to let McKennie go as he still has 2 years left in his contract and Juventus should receive around $20m for the American. Juventus could use this time to rebuild their squad for next year as they sit in the middle of the table with a steep hill to climb for a Champions League spot.
