My name is Juan Chunza Gamez. I am originally from Bogota, Colombia, but living in Canada since I was 8 years old. Soccer has been my passion since I was two years old, and I have been playing ever since.
Upon moving to Canada in 2012, I have been playing with various youth soccer clubs. I have had the privilege of playing with some very talented players and coaches, which has allowed me to continue to grow and develop my skills. Through hard work and dedication, I have been able to achieve some great accomplishments, such as winning gold medals and provincials with my team.
I played for Northwest Polytechnic in Grande Prairie in 2022, where I was awarded a soccer scholarship. In addition, I attended a soccer summer camp in Spain in 2019 to improve my skills.
Although I have been learning a lot along the way, I have not yet found the right team to showcase my skills and potential fully. I have played various positions throughout my career and have consistently achieved excellent outcomes. I believe that my adaptability and versatility on the field would make me a valuable asset to your team.
I am committed to working hard and pushing myself to be an outstanding player on your team. If given the opportunity, I am dedicated to giving my best effort and making the team even more successful.
PROFILE
I started playing soccer at 5 years old and joined a club in Colombia. When I moved to Canada, I played in a community team and later joined a more competitive club, until I found what is called IMPACT. We won awards in tournaments in B.C. and Saskatchewan. Then, I was scouted by a college coach in NWP and played there for the summer with a scholarship before returning home for the winter season
