My name is Tamir Melvin I am from Smithfield Virginia for is the US. My school that I play at is Smithfield high school and the club I play for is Virginia Rush. I also play for the state team Virginia ODP. All of my uncle on my dads side received a D1 track scholarship and my dad went and ran pro for 2 years. While my dad was in high school he had the fastest 400 meter time in the nation.
PROFILE
I grew up playing soccer in a small town called Smithfield in Virginia at 8 years old, and as I started to get better we started looking for better clubs and select teams, and the club I went to was legacy. When I came to legacy I was 12 and they put me on the second team while all of my friends from Smithfield that went there made the first team. I stayed on the second team for three years, and my goal was to make the first team but the coach didn’t think I was good enough to make the team. I left and went to Virginia Rush and made there first team and I’m getting better and improving a lot faster then when I was at at my old club.
