ABOUT ZACHARY

YEAR OF BIRTH: 2010

Zachary is 11 years old and the youngest in his year group. Although a young under 12, Zachary is very tall at 169cm with an excellent physical and technical profile. Because of his profile Zachary has played-up for the entire 2021/22 season with Ware FC Academy u13s (games played on Sunday in mid-herts premier league) and Juventus London Academy u13s (games played on Saturday in the Junior Premier League).

Zachary has been selected to represent the England Juventus Academy (2009 year group) in the Juventus World Cup, which will be staged in Italy and takes place in June 2022.

Until the start of the 2021/22 season, Zachary played for a local Sunday team coached by his father before deciding to move on. His father was obsessed with every detail of the game and scrutinised Zachary’s every step on the training and match day pitch, which had its pros and obvious cons. Because of this Zachary’s decision making, movement and vision is excellent and he has become very versatile in that although he plays predominantly as a modern day number 9 who drops deep receiving the ball with back to goal and bringing others into the game, he has also been utilised at CM and CB when the team needs stability and strength deeper on the pitch. On the other hand Zachary has sacrificed much of his own technical potential and exposure in order to be a team-player and he is now working hard and focusing on 1v1 creativity with a slightly different mindset to become more penetrative in deeper and compact areas. With his strength and technical ability Zachary has started to add all the crucial elements to his game and is on track to becoming the complete footballer.

Zachary has the perfect profile and ingredients. He works hard on and off the pitch and has a healthy balanced diet. As he grows into his tall body, and with the work he is doing, Zachary will only get stronger and better. Zachary’s profile and style of play is the type that becomes more appreciated as he gets older. Those players with smaller and more nimble feet that got all the praise when they were younger are now finding that Zachary dominates them most of the time. With the right coaching and environment Zachary can take his game to the highest level.
