The Club Atlético Patronato de la Juventud Católica commonly called Patronato or Patronato de Paraná is an Argentine football club based in Paraná, Entre Ríos. The club competes in the Argentine Primera División, the top flight of Argentine football.

Club Atlético Patronato History

The year 1978 was the club’s debut in Primera División, during which they competed in the Nacional championship. After prevailing in a penalty shoot-out against Santamarina de Tandil in December 2015, Patronato earned a promotion to the Primera division for the second time.

Both the Club Atlético Paraná, from the same city, with whom they compete in the “Paraná derby” and the Club Gimnasia y Esgrima, from the city of Concepción del Uruguay, with whom they compete in the “Entre Ros derby” are the clubs with which it has a traditional competitive rivalry.

Stadium

Estadio Presbítero Bartolomé Grella is a multi-use stadium in Paraná, Argentina. At the moment, its primary purpose is to host football matches, and it serves as the home turf for Patronato de Paraná. The stadium first opened its doors in 1956 and has a total capacity of 23,500 spectators.
