Centro Atlético Fénix History

On July 7, 1916, a group of young men came together and established a club. They decided to call their organization “Fénix” (Phoenix) in honor of the legendary bird. The club has picked the color violet, which stands for eternity, and the color white as its official colors (to represent purity).

However, at the conclusion of the 2005–2006 season, the club was demoted from the Primera División, despite having achieved the feat of qualifying to participate in the Copa Libertadores for the first time in 2002 and repeating the achievement in 2003. Seven trophies in the second level and three titles in the third division are currently held by Centro Atlético Fénix.
