History

The Canon Kpakum Yaoundé football club was established in 1930, and the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo is where they play their home games. Their most successful decade was the 1970s and 1980s, when they dominated Cameroonian and African football and won eight national titles, eight Cameroonian Cups, three African Champions’ Cups, and one African Cup Winners’ Cup. During this time, they also won one African Cup Winners’ Cup.
