Thank you for being here!
Hi, I’m Carlos! A coach, sports enthusiast, and the founder of FCScout.com.
I fell in love with the game at a very young age like many of you. I’ve been following and playing soccer for many years.
Throughout my career, I always enjoyed helping soccer players chase their dreams, which is why I started this website. I wanted to reach a larger audience outside of my local area and fcscout.com was born.
This website is a platform I will be using to update club pages on any tryouts, stadiums, players, tech, and more from clubs around the world. I also create free recruitment profiles for players looking to have that extra competitive edge when reaching out to clubs.
That’s it. That’s my pitch for you to stick around (or browse the site as you please).
This is already too much text for a “see more” drop-down button thing. If you want to reach out to me, head on over to my contact page 🙂
Reading FC is an English professional football club based in Reading, Berkshire, England. The club competes in the EFL Championship, the second tier of English football.
Reading FC Youth Development System
Our Academy, based at our Bearwood Park training ground, is a source of great pride at Reading Football Club.
As well as sourcing local young talent and producing fine footballers, our Academy also provides a fantastic education for our fledgling players to ensure they can maximise their potential, on and off the pitch.
Our Under-23 side is a bridge between youth football and first-team involvement, allowing our talented young players to play competitive fixtures in Premier League 2, the Premier League Cup, the Premier League International Cup and the Berks & Bucks FA Cup to expand their experience.
Scholars in our Under-18 team compete in the Under-18 Premier League the Under-18 Premier League Cup and the FA Youth Cup; our Under-16s also play competitive fixtures, whilst the younger age-groups – down to Under-9s – combine regular training with a games programme against other clubs.
Reading FC Recruitment Trials
The club does not currently hold open trials, but players are occasionally invited in for a trial period of up to eight weeks.
If you would like a player to be watched by Reading Football Club then please send in as much information about their playing career, including a fixture list for the club they currently play for, to Reading FC ‘s recruitment department by clicking here. Reading FC’s recruitment department may then decide to send a scout to watch the player.
As well as contacting the recruitment department directly with full details of a youngster’s playing history, it is also possible for talented children to be spotted through their Community Trust programmes.
If one of Reading FC’s coaches or scouts identifies a player at a soccer school or school club, they may be invited to spend time at one of their Development Centres, which are held throughout the region. From there, the most talented players can be invited to join the Academy’s Elite Centre, which takes place at the Select Car Leasing Stadium once a week for boys aged between 7-13, and successful graduates from the Elite Centre will be invited in on trial to join their Academy age group. Click here for more information or click here to visit their official academy news section.
