Bamboutos FC History
Bamboutos FC de Mbouda was founded in 1966.
Bamboutos FC Stadium
Stade de Mbouda is a multi-use stadium in Mbouda, Cameroon. At this time, the majority of the events that take place here include football. It is used by Bamboutos FC as their primary playing venue at home. There is enough for 12,000 people in the stadium. Mbouda was chosen to be the first of a series of ten cities in Cameroon to be a part of a program to upgrade football facilities in Cameroon.
The program will ultimately involve all of Cameroon. As a direct result of this, Stade de Mbouda was remodeled, expanded, and now ranks as the second best stadium in the western region of Cameroon. This stadium is home to five of Cameroon’s total of fourteen clubs competing in the country’s first division.
After receiving a makeover that was co-funded by the Cameroonian Football Association (FECAFOOT) and MTN (as part of the latter’s social involvement), the (re)inauguration of Stade de Mbouda was planned for the 31st of January.
