Sunshine Stars FC Stadium
In the city of Akure, Nigeria, you’ll find the multi-purpose Akure Township Stadium. At the moment, football matches take up the most of its time, and Sunshine Stars F.C., who play in the Nigerian Premier League, calls it their home stadium. The stadium is able to accommodate up to 3,000 spectators at once.
In preparation for the upcoming season of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), and as part of the larger club licensing regime, the League Management Company (LMC) has given its stamp of approval to thirteen stadiums all over the country as having satisfied the prerequisites necessary to host matches. These stadiums are located all over the country.
In addition to the other facilities on the list, the Akure Township Stadium is one of those that is in need of renovations. These renovations include, among other things, the provision of floodlights, television camera platforms, an upgrade to the changing rooms, and the provision of additional exit and entry gates, among other fundamental necessities. In addition, there is the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, the Agege Stadium, the Warri Township Stadium, and the New Jos Township Stadium.
