Atlètic Club d’Escaldes History

On May 20, 2002, at Escaldes-Engordany, Athletic Club d’Escaldes was established, and the club debuted in the Segona Divisió that same year. The club earned a promotion to the Primera Divisió at the conclusion of the 2003–2004 season.

The club played in the top level for the first time in the 2003–04 season and remained there until the 2006–07 season, when it was demoted to the Segona Divisió. After claiming victory in the 2018–19 Segona Divisió, the team was promoted to the top flight for the 2018–19 season.

The matches of the Primera Divisió and Segona Divisió are organized by the Andorran Football Federation and played at the venues that are controlled by the Andorran Football Federation. In addition, the federation is responsible for allocating the stadiums and playing fields that will be used for the training sessions of each team.

Since the 2016–17 season, FC Encamp has been the only team in Encamp to have its very own stadium, which is known as Camp de Futbol d’Encamp and is located in Prada de Moles. Former matches from the Primera Divisió and Segona Divisió were played at the Camp d’Esports d’Aixovall up to the year 2016.
