AFC Wimbledon is an English professional football club based in Merton, London, England. The club competes in the EFL League Two, the fourth tier of English football.

AFC Wimbledon Youth Development System

At the start of 2022/23, a total of 26 players had progressed through the Academy to make their first team debuts for the Club, with almost 400 league appearances having been made by academy players since 2011.

The Academy prides itself on being a player-centred development programme which has a target to produce a first team year-on-year made up of 50% Academy graduates who carry the values of the Club.

AFC Wimbledon’s recruitment department is integral to the success of the Academy in finding talented boys who can be potentially developed into first-team footballers.

The Academy’s dedicated and professional recruitment team regularly watches local youth football matches, but it is possible to ‘miss’ talent. If you know someone you think is good enough, or maybe you think you have what it takes, please click here to learn more.
