Burton Albion Academy is about producing well-rounded young people as well as developing them as footballers.

If their youth team players don’t complete their college work, don’t put the effort in there, they don’t train and don’t play. Burton Albion Academy wants them to appreciate that they need to work hard in all aspects of their life to be successful.

When they talk about their players they also ask what they are like as a person. Character and work ethic and sharing the club’s values are a huge part of it.

The Academy works closely alongside Burton Albion Community Trust in terms of recruitment for local players and staff, and helping to develop well-rounded young men with projects like reading sessions with our scholars in local schools, alongside the BACT staff.
