Thank you for being here!
Hi, I’m Carlos! A coach, sports enthusiast, and the founder of FCScout.com.
I fell in love with the game at a very young age like many of you. I’ve been following and playing soccer for many years.
Throughout my career, I always enjoyed helping soccer players chase their dreams, which is why I started this website. I wanted to reach a larger audience outside of my local area and fcscout.com was born.
This website is a platform I will be using to update club pages on any tryouts, stadiums, players, tech, and more from clubs around the world. I also create free recruitment profiles for players looking to have that extra competitive edge when reaching out to clubs.
That’s it. That’s my pitch for you to stick around (or browse the site as you please).
This is already too much text for a “see more” drop-down button thing. If you want to reach out to me, head on over to my contact page 🙂
Oxford United FC is an English professional football club based in Oxford, England. The club competes in the EFL League One, the third tier of English football.
Oxford United FC Youth Development System
With over 100 players having graduated from the Club’s Youth Team into first team football over the last thirty years, Oxford United has a proud history of providing a pathway for aspiring, young professionals.
In order for Oxford United FC to consistently invest in the lives of young footballers they need a clear set of values that underpin everything that they do:
Oxford United FC also prides itself on working closely with all their young men on their Mental Health and Wellbeing. Head of Player Care Matt Jarvis is always on hand to support their players.
Below is an example for all their players of the ‘Traffic Light’ system that they use in regards to Player Care. There will always be someone to talk to at the club, do not suffer in silence.
Oxford United FC Recruitment Trials
Like most clubs, Oxford United FC has a network of scouts who work for the club on a local and national basis, as well as other contacts. The scouts look at players from under-6’s up to professional levels and will make recommendations on players that they may consider to invite for a trial.
Furthermore, Oxford United FC has two talent centre’s based within Oxfordshire which allow them to identify potential talent within the specific locations (Oxford and Bicester). To find out more about these, please head to website (www.oxfordshirertc.com).
It is important to note that any Oxford United Football Club Scout that approaches a player will have appropriate ID. Any approach from someone purporting to be from the club, but who does not have sufficient ID should not be taken seriously.
If you are approached and are unsure of the validity of the approach, please email the club at pwynne@oufc.co.uk and someone will be in touch as soon as possible.
Can I write in to be invited to an open trial?
Oxford United FC regularly hosts trials during half-terms and school holidays, they announce these via the club website at least one month before the date of the trial. Furthermore, Oxford United FC always tries and watch players at their local club/school based on recommendations before inviting them in for trial. However, if they do not manage to watch the player, they will invite them to one of the centres above. Anyone requesting a trial should do so via the link below and they should always include a fixture list for their teams along with directions and anything else that might help (e.g. club, age group and manager contact number).

How can I be sure that my talent has not been overlooked?
Rest assured, with literally thousands of scouts representing the various clubs, if you have the required level of ability, you should be spotted. Oxford United FC scouts may or may not be wearing club branded clothing. Many people don’t think they have ever had a scout at their games when in fact just the opposite could be true.
I have waited years to be spotted. Should I give up?
Within reason it’s never too late. Some players mature later than others, and lots of top-class professionals have entered the game at a relatively late stage. Keep playing the highest standard of football possible, and never give up hope, above all always try your best as you never know who is watching!
Due to the high levels of correspondence Oxford United FC receives, they are unable to enter into communication and respond to everyone. However, they will endeavour to get back to all people who do send an email. Please do not repeatedly contact them, as they will keep your trial request on their files and will either be in touch or come along to one of your games if they feel you have the qualities and skills Oxford United FC requires.
