YEAR OF BIRTH: 2002
Julian Gaines started his youth competitive career at the age of 6 playing with Lonestar SC, a local soccer club in Austin, Texas. Gaines remained with Lonestar SC until the age of 16.
Apart from his time with Lonestar SC, Gaines appeared in several national tournaments with the United States Youth National Team’s and a few Major League Soccer (MLS) teams.
In 2019, Gaines signed his first amateur contract with the Austin Bold FC of the USL. In May, Gaines made his professional debut in the USL against LA Galaxy 2 and remained at the club for 8 months.
Later that year in 2019, Gaines joined the Barça Residency Academy, where he remained until signing with the Los Angeles FC, using the number one spot in the MLS Waiver Order.
