Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas reports that, in view of the current stage of advancement of the new coronavirus, the activities of the selection process of players for the base categories of the club are temporarily suspended. Such measure should preserve the health of the countless young people who participate weekly in the tests at the Estádio de Caio Martins. As a result, the evaluation trainings that would take place in the coming days (16, 23, 30 and 03/31) will not be carried out. A new report will be issued when activities can be normalized.

BOTAFOGO TALENT SCHOOL
The Official Football School of Botafogo prepares and trains human beings not only for the ball market, but also in the educational formation of the individual.
The Project
Botafogo is the oldest multi-sport club in Brazil, champion of three centuries. Union of Club de Regatas Botafogo (Solitary Star) with Botafogo Football Club (O Glorioso), clubs with different traditions, but with the same colors, Black and White. In 1942 the club of so many idols, Manequinho, the dog Biriba and a passionate and vibrant crowd was born. Club that gave more players to the Brazilian team. Botafogo, a barn of stars!
The objective of this project is to develop a national network of schools that offers children through sport, a space for leisure, physical development and that helps them in their intellectual training, using high-level pedagogical and didactic standards for both. And simultaneously creating a space for empathy for the club to expand regardless of the proximity of General Severiano, the club’s headquarters.
The decision to undertake an expansion project through the licensing system arose from the realization of the immense success of our own centers in our country.
Thus, with adequate investment and a complete training program, many entrepreneurs with the profile of a possible graduate will be able to operate with ease, joining BOTAFOGO’S OFFICIAL FOOTBALL SCHOOL to an initiative of undeniable success. And this success comes with an extra, very special ingredient, with an unmistakable personality – the strength and prestige of the BOTAFOGO brand!
Unlike other football schools, which limit themselves to “playing football” with children, BOTAFOGO TALENT SCHOOL – BOTAFOGO’S OFFICIAL FOOTBALL SCHOOL offers its students a whole program of techniques, training and game itself, taught only by Physical Education professionals specially trained for this activity.
BOTAFOGO TALENT SCHOOL is open to any child from 4 to 17 years old who wants to participate in our activities, regardless of color, race, religious belief or social position. Nor are there any demands on specific skill and physical conditions.
Another point is the possibility for students who stand out in the Units for their technique and ability to be tested in the club’s base categories.
STRONG BASE
Known for having evolved considerably and having become a power at the national level, the alvinegra base carries with it a prestige represented by the brand “Base Forte” and functions as one of the pillars of the current Glorioso management model. The
objective is to rescue the tradition of forming great players identified with the club, as in the past with: Garricha, Nilton Santos, Jairzinho, Roberto Miranda and many others.
The basis of Glorioso is concerned with training the human being who plays and for this, young people are offered all the necessary support by the medical, psychological, nutritional and social services departments, thus constituting a work methodology followed through a “GUIDING DOCUMENT” , a very important document that has the function of directing all the methodology applied during the training process.
The integration between base and professional team is one of the foundations for success in football. Botafogo seeks, as much as possible, to value its base categories. To this end, there is now a great integration within the club between grassroots football and professional football. All of this, so that young young athletes are prepared to respond when requested.

Botafogo School Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Copy of birth certificate, medical certificate for sports practice, proof of enrollment in regular school, 02 3×4 photos.
It must be completed and filled out in a specific form, called the Registration Form.
The payment of the enrollment must be made at the School itself.
The enrollment fee is 100% of the Licensee.
The Licensee must provide the student with the uniform and booklet upon registration, covering these expenses with the enrollment revenue.
It will vary by unit.
It is possible to be Field Soccer, Beach Soccer, Society Soccer, and Futsal.
The maximum per class is (in estimate) 40 for field football, 30 for beach and Society football, and 20 for futsal.
Experimental classes are strictly prohibited due to the lack of a medical certificate ensuring conditions for sports activities.
However, after the documents are received, the student may, if he wishes, attend 02 classes even if he has not paid his registration fee.
The team consists of a coordinator, teachers, and interns.
Trainees are not left alone, but they are essential when the class is close to reaching the maximum number of students.

Botafogo History
In addition, the club holds some of the most illustrious records in Brazilian football, including the largest number of unbeaten matches (52 games between 1977 and 1978), the record for the most unbeaten matches in Brazilian Championship games (42 games between 1977 and 1978), the record for the largest number of player participations in total matches of the Brazil national football team (considering official and unofficial games), and the record for the largest number of players assigned to the Brazil national team. All of these records were set between 1977 and 1978.
The club holds the record for the best victory ever recorded in Brazilian football: a 24–0 triumph over Sport Club Mangueira in 1909. This result was achieved in 1909.
Stadium
In Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the neighborhood of Engenho de Dentro is home to a multi-purpose stadium that was once known as the Estádio Olmpico Joo Havelange. This stadium currently goes by the name Estádio Olmpico Nilton Santos. In addition to being the primary venue for athletic competitions and football games, it is also the home turf for the football team Botafogo.
From 2003 to 2007, a partnership led by Odebrecht S.A. worked on the construction of the stadium, which was completed in time for the 2007 Pan American Games. It served as the host venue for the athletics competitions at both the Summer Olympics and the Summer Paralympics in 2016. The stadium has a capacity of around 46,000 seats for spectators.
Crest
The Botafogo flag and crest both presently feature the Estrela Solitária, which translates to “Lone Star.” The Club de Regatas Botafogo used this star as its primary identifier for many years.
As a result of the merger that brought together the two different Botafogos, the Lone Star has become one of the most significant symbols of the Botafogo football team.
