Club Atlético Peñarol is a Uruguayan sports club based in Montevideo, Uruguay. The club competes in the Uruguayan Primera División, the top flight of Uruguayan football.

Model and methodology
The Game Model is based on the game of position, always present in each situation, varying spaces (large, medium, small) for the control of the conditional and cognitive load.
The player is the center of the model and must be close to his specific speed.
The methodology is based on principles and sub principles of Tactical Periodization adapted to our reality and culture.
The methodological path is the specificity, understood by it when it is related to the game model that is being created and contemplating the needs of the player.
We use compensatory tasks (adapted to the specificity) necessary to improve this methodology, developing conditional capacities to enhance the individual state of the player.
The training and preparation processes cover five dimensions of training: technical, tactical, physical, mental and invisible and we have means such as:
- Player-focused tactical technical training methodology
- Mental toughness process focused on sports performance
- Nutrition and medical science focused on high performance
- Individualized training process for the five dimensions of training and preparation
- Academy for 3 consecutive years for each player, to provide additional skills to the game based on positive psychology, such as human relationships, education in values, communication, self-control, personal communication, control of consumption including social networks, bonds and positive thinking.
- Video analysis and information management
Each division has a head coach, a physical education professional, a physician, and a physical therapist. Likewise, he receives the advice of the sports psychologist, two nutritionists and the support of a coach per line of play (defense, midfield and attack).

Peñarol History
Pearol is tied for the record with three triumphs in the Intercontinental Cup and holds the third-highest number of victories in the Copa Libertadores with five. Pearol also holds the third-highest number of victories overall in international competition. The IFFHS announced in September 2009 that it has selected the club as the South American Club of the Century to honor.
In addition to football, other active sports divisions of Pearol include women’s football, futsal, and rugby union. Athletics is another one of Pearol’s main focuses.
