Hi, I’m Carlos! A coach, sports enthusiast, and the founder of FCScout.com.
I fell in love with the game at a very young age like many of you. I’ve been following and playing soccer for many years.
Throughout my career, I always enjoyed helping soccer players chase their dreams, which is why I started this website. I wanted to reach a larger audience outside of my local area and fcscout.com was born.
This website is a platform I will be using to update club pages on any tryouts, stadiums, players, tech, and more from clubs around the world. I also create free recruitment profiles for players looking to have that extra competitive edge when reaching out to clubs.

Pacific Football Club is a Canadian professional soccer club based in Greater Victoria, British Columbia. The club competes in the Canadian Premier League, playing home matches at Starlight Stadium located in Langford.

The Island Training Centre
The Island Training Centre is the future of development on Vancouver Island. With 55,000 sq. ft., this world-class multi-sport facility is the largest of it’s kind in British Columbia. The ITC provides a home for sport development & enjoyment throughout Greater Victoria and the Island.
The Island Training Centre was built to inspire the next generation of athletes on Vancouver Island. As the training home for Pacific Football Club the ITC is host to all levels of soccer with a state of the art turf field.
Trident Development Program
This U8-U14 program provides players with the opportunity to train in the Island Training Centre. This program focuses on developing the fundamental skills of the game.
This U8-U14 program provides players with the opportunity to train in the Island Training Centre & Uvic through the fall/winter. The focus of this program is to develop the key skills of the game. Dribbling, First Touch, Passing & Receiving, Control and Key passing are the key fundamental areas that the Trident Development Program looks to grow and build. For new players to the Trident Program, being surrounded by returning players accelerates their growth and deepens the understanding of returning players as they both act as a peer-mentor and they are able to explore higher learning in an environment where they are comfortable.
Our Trident Goalkeeper program is led by Pacific FC 1st team goaltender coach, Mark Village. Goaltenders will train with Mark inside the Island Training Centre through the winter. The focus of this program is to develop the goalkeeper skills and fundamentals of the game. For new players to the Trident Program, being surrounded by returning players accelerates their growth and deepens the understanding of returning players as they both act as a peer-mentor and they are able to explore higher learning in an environment where they are comfortable.

Van Isle Wave Program
The CPL (Canadian Premier League) has become the pinnacle of the development pathway for Canadian soccer. With this comes a great deal of responsibility for CPL clubs to assist with the development of the sport across the country.
The Wave is a Powered by Pacific FC program. This provides the Wave program with a connection to the top level soccer environment on the Island and their expertise.

ITC Sports Camps
The Island Training Centre- Powered by Pacific is excited to be back hosting Soccer, Baseball and Multi-Sport Camps! Soccer Camps will be run by Pacific FC & Wave coaches while Baseball and Multi-Sport camps will be directed and coached by ITC GM Charlie Strandlund with guest coaches.

Pacific FC History
The Canadian Soccer Association granted professional club membership to four separate groups on May 5, 2018, including “Port City FC.” The other three groups were those that would later become Cavalry FC, HFX Wanderers, and York9. Port City was the only one of the four that was not identified with a specific city, and it indicated a site in British Columbia that has not yet been located.
It was anticipated that the organization would establish a franchise in either the Greater Victoria or Surrey areas of British Columbia. Rob Friend, a former professional player who was born in British Columbia and raised there, was included in an image as a representative of the area. The Canadian Premier League approved the Port City ownership group’s application for a franchise on Vancouver Island on June 1st.
On July 20, Pacific FC was presented to the public for the first time as the seventh team that would compete in the Canadian Premier League. In addition to announcing that it will participate in the league’s inaugural season in 2019, the club also unveiled its official emblem, color scheme, and branding.
On August 20, it was reported that Michael Silberbauer, a former international for Denmark, will serve as the team’s first head coach. On April 28, 2019, they participated in their debut game, which resulted in a victory over the traveling HFX Wanderers by a score of 1-0. Hendrik Starostzik scored the lone goal, and Mark Village was the keeper of the clean sheet.
On October 18, 2019, the club announced that Silberbauer had been let go as head coach, and they promoted James Merriman, who had been an assistant coach previously. In 2021, they played their first game against a team from Major League Soccer when they were pitted against their provincial rivals, the Vancouver Whitecaps FC, in the quarterfinals of the Canadian Championship. Prior to that, they had never faced MLS competition. Despite being the underdogs, they were able to pull off a 4–3 victory over the Whitecaps, making them the second CPL club to win against an MLS team.
Pacific FC Stadium
The Starlight Stadium serves as the venue for all of the club’s home games. The city of Langford intended to enhance the capacity from 1,718 to 8,000, however a utility pole positioned on the north side of the stadium has precluded any modifications on that side. The current capacity is 1,718.
The capacity was extended to 6,200 for the 2019 season by extending the currently existing south stand, adding seating behind both goals, and adding extra standing room on the north side.
Pacific FC Crest
The branding of the club is intended to be representative of Vancouver Island. The crest of the team takes the form of a Douglas fir, a tree that grows naturally on Vancouver Island. The tree is depicted as being divided into two parts, with the right side taking the form of the island. The tree is surrounded on all sides by the sea, and it features a single chevron that is meant to symbolize a wave on the sea, as well as a letter V that can signify Victoria, triumph, or Vancouver Island.
A roundel including a trident serves as the secondary emblem. This design is intended to symbolize not only the tenacity and bravery of the island, but also the climate that is associated with the Pacific Ocean. The Latin phrase “Semper Liber,” which literally translates to “Forever Free,” is included in the design as well.
This motto is featured on the coat of arms that represents the city of Victoria. The colors purple, teal, and white are the ones that officially represent this club (branded by the club as “starfish purple,” “lagoon blue,” and “lighthouse white”). These hues stand for the indigenous Pisaster ochraceus sea star, the Pacific Ocean, and the lighthouses of the region.
