F.C. Paços de Ferreira History
Due to the fact that they have competed in the Portuguese Primeira Liga for the past 20 years, Pacos de Ferreira is considered to be one of the more historic teams in Portuguese football.
They have won four titles in the Segunda Liga, which is currently known as the LigaPro, and they became eligible for the UEFA Cup for the first time in 2007.
It was the first time in the club’s history that they qualified for the UEFA Champions League play-offs when they finished third in the Primeira Liga in 2012–13, earning them a spot in the competition. Additionally, they finished in second place in the Portuguese Cup in 2008–2009, the Portuguese Supercup in 2009, and the Portuguese League Cup in 2010–2011.
Stadium
Estádio Capital do Móvel is a multi-use stadium in Pacos de Ferreira, Portugal. The majority of the time, it is reserved for football games. The venue, which first opened its doors in 1973 and was given the name Estádio da Mata Real, has a capacity of 9,077 people.
The stadium had two separate renovations between the years 2000 and 2013, resulting in an increase in seating capacity from the original 5,250 to 7,000.
The new north stand was opened for business in 2017, bringing the total number of seats available in the stadium to the current capacity of 9,077.
