C.D. Santa Clara History
As of right now, Santa Clara is the only team from the Azores islands to have ever competed in the first division of the Portuguese Liga. As a result, they are the westernmost top-flight club in all of Europe.
They play in the Primeira Liga, which is the top level of the Portuguese football league system. Kelme is the company that provides Santa Clara with its uniforms, and Banif and Acoreana Seguros are their primary sponsors.

The most significant competition comes from CD Operário of Lagoa. Other significant competitors are C.S. Maritimo and C.D. Nacional, both of which are based on the island of Madeira.
Stadium
The municipality of Ponta Delgada, which is located in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores, is home to a sizable open-air stadium known as the Stadium of So Miguel. The majority of the games played there are of a national or regional nature, and it is the official stadium that serves as Santa Clara’s home field.

Renovations to the stadium occurred in the 2008–2009 season, with improved lighting, remodeled seating, new turf and improvements to the rest areas. Renovations and expenditures were also slated for the 2013–2014, that included: improvements and interventions in the lighting towers and requalification of the exterior spaces of the stadium, respectively. The 105 by 70 metres (344 ft × 230 ft) stadium holds approximately 13,200 spectators.
