The biggest investment ever made by Futebol Clube de Famalicão is modern, versatile equipment designed for the formation of the club. Academia FC Famalicão was inaugurated on June 2, 2018, one year after laying the first stone of the work. Built with state-of-the-art equipment and to meet the Portuguese Football Federation’s certification requirement parameters, the Academy has three synthetic-pitch lawns, changing rooms for 12 teams, study and leisure spaces, club store, technical offices, gymnasium , auditorium and residence for players.

It is the biggest financial investment ever of Futebol Clube de Famalicão but even greater in the future of generations of young people who will give life to this dream come true. Here the players have all the conditions to grow, evolve and build the dream of being soccer players. The FC Famalicão Academy will receive all levels of formation of the club, from the Schools to the SUB 19, about 350 young players, who will grow up with excellent training conditions. There are three lawns (covered space for football 5, football fields 7, football 9 and football 11), with a covered bench for 500 spectators.

F.C. Famalicão History

The Estádio Municipal 22 de Junho, which has a capacity of 5,307 seats, has been Famalico’s home field for all of their matches from the club’s inception in 1952. The most successful era in the history of Famalicenses happened in the early 1990s. During this time, the club competed in the Primeira Liga for four consecutive seasons, from 1990 to 1994.

As of right now, Famalicenses have appeared in seven matches in the Primeira Liga. The club is owned by Quantum Pacific Group, which also owns Atlético de Madrid to the tune of 30 percent.


Estádio Municipal de Famalicão is a multi-use stadium in Vila Nova de Famalicão, Portugal. It is currently used for football matches the most of the time and is the home stadium of FC Famalico, who currently compete in the Primeira Liga, which is the highest level of competition in Portuguese football. The stadium has seating for a total of 5,307 individuals.

A general improvement on the facilities of the stadium as well as an increase in its capacity to 7,500 people is planned to be implemented by the municipality as part of their expansion plans for the stadium.
