BACK TO SPAIN CLUBS

Hi, I’m Carlos! A coach, sports enthusiast, and the founder of FCScout.com.

I fell in love with the game at a very young age like many of you. I’ve been following and playing soccer for many years.

Throughout my career, I always enjoyed helping soccer players chase their dreams, which is why I started this website. I wanted to reach a larger audience outside of my local area and fcscout.com was born.

This website is a platform I will be using to update club pages on any tryouts, stadiums, players, tech, and more from clubs around the world. I also create free recruitment profiles for players looking to have that extra competitive edge when reaching out to clubs.

That’s it. That’s my pitch for you to stick around (or browse the site as you please).

This is already too much text for a “see more” drop-down button thing. If you want to reach out to me, head on over to my contact page 🙂

Granada CF History

Since July 17, 2020, the Club has been ranked at position 22 in the historical points classification of the First Division, and it has been ranked at position 20 in the historical number of seasons classification of the First Division. In the First Division, the Club has competed in a total of 25 seasons, and it has twice finished in sixth place. In 1959, the Granada finished in second place in the Copa del Rey competition. During the 2019–20 season, Granada advanced to the semifinals of the Copa del Rey. Among the teams that they defeated to get there, the defending champion Valencia CF was one of them. The club ended the 2019–20 season with a historic win of 4-0 over Athletic Club, which allowed it to be classified for the very first time to play in the UEFA Europa League in its long and illustrious history.

Stadium

Following the club’s inception, all of its home games were played at the Campo de Las Tablas, which had its grand opening on December 20th, 1931. On that day, the Granada CF prevailed over the U.D. Andjar 1-0 to take first place in the Tercera Regional competition. The Granada only played at this stadium for a brief time because on December 23, 1934, Estadio Los Cármenes, a new stadium, opened its doors for the first time.

This stadium served as the home field for the club up until 1995, when it was succeeded by a brand new venue known as Nuevo Los Cármenes Stadium. On May 16, 1995, it was first opened to the public with an initial seating capacity of 16,212 people. After the club won its third and final promotion to La Liga in the summer of 2011, this capacity was raised to 22,524.

After receiving promotion to the First Division in 2019, the stadium underwent renovations, including the replacement of the grass pitch, the repairment and painting of seats, the expansion of the official store (now located on the corner where was the old tickets office), and finally, the replacement of the illumination system in order to be adapted for the requirements of LaLiga.

In addition, the club is negotiating with the city council of Granada in order to secure a contract for the long-term surrender of use of the stadium in order to carry out a series of renovations. These renovations include the construction of stadium corners, the establishment of shopping and entertainment areas, and the expansion and refurbishment of areas designated for advertising and sponsorship.

He purchased ninety percent of Chongqing Dangdai Lifan F.C. in the month of January 2017. After purchasing his share in June 2017, he was able to purchase sixty percent of Parma Calcio 1913.
