BACK TO SPAIN CLUBS

Hi, I’m Carlos! A coach, sports enthusiast, and the founder of FCScout.com.

I fell in love with the game at a very young age like many of you. I’ve been following and playing soccer for many years.

Throughout my career, I always enjoyed helping soccer players chase their dreams, which is why I started this website. I wanted to reach a larger audience outside of my local area and fcscout.com was born.

This website is a platform I will be using to update club pages on any tryouts, stadiums, players, tech, and more from clubs around the world. I also create free recruitment profiles for players looking to have that extra competitive edge when reaching out to clubs.

That’s it. That’s my pitch for you to stick around (or browse the site as you please).

This is already too much text for a “see more” drop-down button thing. If you want to reach out to me, head on over to my contact page 🙂

SD Eibar History

The club was established on November 30, 1940, and it was promoted to La Liga for the very first time in 2014, making it the highest level of competition in Spanish football at the present time. They also competed in 26 seasons of the Segunda División, which included a stint in the 1950s as well as the majority of the 1990s and 2000s.

However, the majority of their history was spent competing at lower levels. The team plays their home games in the Ipurua Municipal Stadium while wearing uniforms that were inspired by those worn by FC Barcelona. The jerseys are claret and blue, while the shorts are blue. It wasn’t until 2018 that SD Huesca qualified for Spain’s top flight that the club was thought to be the smallest to have ever played in Spain’s top division, and its stadium had the lowest capacity of any La Liga teams’ stadiums.

Despite the fact that Eibar is the only professional team in its city, it competes in a number of Basque derbies against other clubs from the region.

Stadium

Ipurua Municipal Stadium is a football stadium in Eibar, Spain, that has seating for all spectators and serves as the home ground for SD Eibar, which competes at La Liga, the highest level of competition in the Spanish football system.

The stadium first opened its doors in 1947 and now has a total of 7,083 seats available. Since 1947, Ipurua has served as Eibar’s most important venue for football matches. Before Ipurua became the first enclosed ground, there were a number of open fields that were utilized. On September 14, 1947, it was officially opened with a match between local rivals SD Eibar and CD Elgoibar, which ended in a loss for SD Eibar by a score of 0–2.

Ownership

In 2014, SD Eibar had to contend with a challenging capital increase that was imposed by the legislation. This rise had the potential to result in the administrative demotion to Second B of a sporting institution that had no deficits and no debts. In spite of this, the Club did not allow itself to be intimidated and instead launched a successful marketing campaign called “Eibar Defendatu – Defend Eibar.” This campaign was able to make headlines in a number of countries around the world because of the impetus that the Eibar story took on social networks.

The Club was finally successful in selling all of its shares in a record amount of time, which enabled it to fulfill the goal of 1.9 million euros required to comply with legal requirements. This crowdfunding campaign was one of the largest in the history of the industry. Since that time, Eibar has grown to include more than 11,130 stockholders from 65 different nations across the globe.
