YEAR OF BIRTH: 1995
In 2012, at the age of 17, Arango began his professional career with Envigado. He was loaned to Valencia B, Valencia’s reserve team in the third level, for the 2015–16 season, where he scored eight goals in 26 appearances. In the 2016 Finalizacion season, he returned to Envigado and participated in all 20 games, scoring four goals.
His transfer to Millonarios was declared official in January 2017. His performance in the 2017 Apertura and 2017 Copa Libertadores, despite limited playing time due to injury, piqued the curiosity of several European teams.
He was confirmed as a Benfica player on 28 June 2017 after signing a five-year contract. After participating in the club’s preseason, the board chose to loan him out. In August of 2017, Deportivo Aves lent him for one year. On 10 January 2018, he scored two crucial goals in a match against Rio Ave. Later, Aves won the cup by defeating Sporting CP in the final, without Arango’s participation.
In August of 2018, he was loaned to Tondela for the second time. On 10 July 2019, Arango returned to Millonarios, signing a three-year contract
In August 2021, Arango joined the Major League Soccer club Los Angeles FC. Pachuca from Liga MX later bought Arango for the 2022/2023 season. Arango currently plays for MLS side Real Salt Lake.
