Hi, I’m Carlos! A coach, sports enthusiast, and the founder of FCScout.com.

I fell in love with the game at a very young age like many of you. Iโ€™ve been following and playing soccer for many years.

Throughout my career, I always enjoyed helping soccer players chase their dreams, which is why I started this website. I wanted to reach a larger audience outside of my local area and fcscout.com was born.

This website is a platform I will be using to update club pages on any tryouts, stadiums, players, tech, and more from clubs around the world. I also create free recruitment profiles for players looking to have that extra competitive edge when reaching out to clubs.

That’s it. That’s my pitch for you to stick around (or browse the site as you please).

This is already too much text for a “see more” drop-down button thing. If you want to reach out to me, head on over to my contact page ๐Ÿ™‚

History

On October 14, 2014, the Timbers held a news conference to announce the launch of their USL Pro squad. On December 18, 2014, Jay Vidovich, the former head coach of Wake Forest and two-time NSCAA National Coach of the Year, was named T2’s head coach. An open audition was held in February 2015 for Timbers 2. Timbers 2 currently has six players under contract, as announced on February 19th. For their first two seasons, the Timbers played their home games at Merlo Field, a soccer-specific stadium at the University of Portland. The Timbers transferred T2’s home games to Providence Park after the 2016 season, and T2 played there for the following three seasons.

A minor-league baseball team headquartered in the Portland suburb of Hillsboro will take over the business operations of T2 after this year’s season; the Timbers will retain ownership and responsibility for the team’s playing roster. T2 will relocate to Hillsboro Stadium in 2020 and beyond as part of this arrangement. Last year, T2 finished 8th out of 16 teams (winning 11 and losing 15) in the Western Conference of the league table. Rookie of the Year Kharlton Belmar was also chosen to the All-League Second Team for the USL. The University of Pittsburgh hired Jay Vidovich as its next head coach. On January 6th, 2016, he was succeeded by Assistant Coach Andrew Gregor. T2 had finished eighth in the Western Conference in 2016 despite a strong season.

T2 aimed to reclaim the final playoff position for the USL playoffs, which had been enlarged from six to eight teams in each conference, midway through the season. The final match of the season pitted Timbers 2 versus Arizona United. Because Orange County won their final game and had a greater goal difference than T2, the team’s victory over Arizona was not enough to secure the final playoff slot. From 2015 through 2019, the squad competed in the USL Championship, and in the United States soccer pyramid’s second division since 2016. On December 6, 2021, the team confirmed that it would be participating in the inaugural MLS Next Pro season, which will begin in 2022.

Badge and Crest

T2’s emblem bears a striking resemblance to that of its parent company. The Portland Timbers USL team has previously utilized this form and style in its uniforms and marketing materials..
