BACK TO USA CLUBS

Hi, I’m Carlos! A coach, sports enthusiast, and the founder of FCScout.com.

I fell in love with the game at a very young age like many of you. I’ve been following and playing soccer for many years.

Throughout my career, I always enjoyed helping soccer players chase their dreams, which is why I started this website. I wanted to reach a larger audience outside of my local area and fcscout.com was born.

This website is a platform I will be using to update club pages on any tryouts, stadiums, players, tech, and more from clubs around the world. I also create free recruitment profiles for players looking to have that extra competitive edge when reaching out to clubs.

That’s it. That’s my pitch for you to stick around (or browse the site as you please).

This is already too much text for a “see more” drop-down button thing. If you want to reach out to me, head on over to my contact page 🙂

History

The New York Red Bulls purchased the rights to launch a USL team on January 21, 2015, and Red Bull New York II was born. The Red Bulls II club plays in the second division of American soccer and serves as a feeder team for the first team as well as a training ground for academy players and emerging prospects.

A number of Major League Soccer (MLS) clubs have set up USL affiliates to aid in the development of the game’s next generation. John Wolyniec, a former Red Bulls and MetroStars player, was named the club’s new head coach on March 2, 2015. Former assistant coach Wolyniec formerly worked with the senior team and the academy. Ibrahim Sekagya, a former Red Bulls defender, will also be a part of his coaching team.

Tyler Adams, a former standout of the program, was officially named as the club’s first player on March 19, 2015. There were veteran players loaned down from other teams, draft picks, academy students, and local trialists on the club’s inaugural roster. They played their first game on March 28, drawing 0–0 with the Rochester Rhinos. For the first time in club history, Anatole Abang scored the club’s first goal in a 4–1 win over Toronto FC II. On October 23, 2016, the New York Red Bulls II won the USL Cup with a 2-0 victory over the New York City FC.

As part of an exhibition match on July 22, 2015, a New York Red Bulls team primarily formed of NYRB II players defeated Chelsea F.C. Announcing on May 10, 2016, that the club’s new home field would be Montclair State University’s MSU Soccer Park at Pittser Field beginning in 2017, after playing most of the 2015 and 2016 seasons there, they announced on May 10, 2016.

On September 7, 2016, the team defeated the Harrisburg City Islanders 4–1 to win the Regular Season Title (equivalent of the Supporters’ Shield). Red Bulls II won their inaugural USL Cup on October 23 at Red Bull Arena with a 5–1 victory over Swope Park Rangers. Due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 USL Championship season will be cut short for the Red Bulls II, who will play their home matches at Red Bull Arena without any spectators present.
