I fell in love with the game at a very young age like many of you. I’ve been following and playing soccer for many years.
Throughout my career, I always enjoyed helping soccer players chase their dreams, which is why I started this website. I wanted to reach a larger audience outside of my local area and fcscout.com was born.
This website is a platform I will be using to update club pages on any tryouts, stadiums, players, tech, and more from clubs around the world. I also create free recruitment profiles for players looking to have that extra competitive edge when reaching out to clubs.

FC Tulsa is an American professional soccer team based in Tulsa, Oklahoma which competes in the USL Championship, the second tier of the American soccer pyramid.
FC Tulsa Youth Development System
Tulsa is home to one of the most robust youth soccer markets in the United States. With this in mind, FC Tulsa has made the decision to not participate in the USL Academy league, and instead is working with each local youth club in the Tulsa area to establish a pipeline for the best local talent in Tulsa to become professional.
FC Tulsa does not work exclusively with any Tulsa area youth club, and instead works with every local youth club to identify all capable players. We will utilize the Academy Contract roster mechanism to allow the best local youth players to experience being a part of FC Tulsa’s pro roster, while maintaining their amateur eligibility.
The club has already graduated its first Academy contracted player to a Professional contract! Midfielder Ciaran Winters joined FC Tulsa in 2020 on an Academy Contract and his hard work with the club earned him a paid Professional Contract at the end of the 2020 season.

DETAILS ABOUT FC TULSA’S PATHWAY TO PRO
How does the Pathway to Pro process begin?
- Player is scouted and identified by a local youth club Director of Coaching or official FC Tulsa Scout.
- Player’s Director of Coaching makes an official recommendation to FC Tulsa.
- If determined that the club elects to move forward after a thorough evaluation, the Player is invited to go on trial with FC Tulsa.
- Player is asked to continue with their current club until the end of their season, or until FC Tulsa signs the Player.
- FC Tulsa will work with the Player to determine appropriate next steps.
Who is eligible to sign an Academy Contract?
- Player is under the age of 21 at the official start date of the regular season.
- Player has not competed for any college or university soccer program or been registered as a professional soccer player, as defined by FIFA.
- Player has previously played for a team which conducts its activities within FC Tulsa’s franchise territory or previously played for a team which has documented affiliation for FC Tulsa.
What are FC Tulsa’s expectations for Academy players?
- Players will train every day in the morning at FC Tulsa training facility with the first team.
- Players are well-recognized as having an impact on their youth squads at the national/regional levels of competition.
- Players agree to adhere to all FC Tulsa First Team policies and procedures related to on-field and off-field professionalism.
- Player should come highly recommended by the youth club’s Director of Coaching and/or official FC Tulsa designated Scout.
- Player has not signed or participated in a college program.
- Players will not be allowed to participate in high school athletics. Any participation as a player with a quality youth club will need to be approved by FC Tulsa’s Technical Staff as part of the player’s Individual Development Plan (IDP).
- Player should be committed to additional team and individual training regimen outside of regular First Team Training as part of the player’s IDP.
- Player should have their own transportation to and from training.
- If player is signed by FC Tulsa to an Academy Contract, there is no cost for participation. This is a fully funded program by FC Tulsa.

History
Jeff and Dale Hubbard, brothers and co-owners of the Tulsa Drillers minor league baseball franchise, formed Tulsa Roughnecks FC. On December 18th, 2013, the Hubbards were introduced as co-owners and co-chairs of the company. Minority ownership of Oklahoma City Energy FC was held by Prodigal LLC. February 26, 2014 marked the announcement of a new Tulsa Roughneck FC squad, a nod to the historic team that competed in the original North American Soccer League (NASL) from 1978 to 1984 (and was best known for winning the Soccer Bowl ’83) before the league disbanded in 1984. The team’s name earned over half of the votes in a “name the team” contest that was held in February 2014. On September 2, 2014, the team’s logo, colors, and jerseys were unveiled.
The oil derrick in the emblem and the team’s name alludes to Tulsa’s “Oil Capitol” past; a “roughneck” is an oil-well drilling crew member, according to the dictionary. Adidas provides the team’s uniforms, which are orange and navy blue. The Drillers and Prodigal Soccer sold the club to the Craft family on August 20, 2019, who are Tulsa natives and brothers JW, Ryan, and Kyle Craft. The club announced its rebranding as FC Tulsa for the 2020 season on December 4, 2019.
Stadium
The Drillers and the team share ONEOK Field, which has a seating capacity of 7,833. Tulsa’s ONEOK Field is located in the Greenwood area. This field was used for a time by the Tulsa Drillers before it was renamed the Roughnecks Stadium in 2015. There are two soccer goals on either side of the outfield, one on the East and one on the West.
Club Culture
In the Black Gold Derby, FC Tulsa faces off against Oklahoma City Energy FC, with both teams based in the state of Oklahoma. The regular season winner of the derby is awarded a trophy by the fan groups of both teams, a four-foot wrench painted in the colors of both teams on either side. 83UNITED is the primary group of supporters.
Affiliation
Tulsa Roughnecks were affiliated with the Chicago Fire during the 2017 and 2018 MLS seasons. During the 2001-2002 MLS season, Roughnecks head coach David Vaudreuil played 26 times for Chicago. There is no longer a Chicago Fire affiliation for the Roughnecks. First, Tulsa tweeted about a possible alliance with an EFL team in the Championship division, which Wigan Athletic reacted to. On February 11, 2020, the two teams announced that they had struck an agreement to work together.
