That same year, the club entered the UPSL and competed in the Southwest Conference’s Arizona Division. In addition, the group competed in the 2021 NISA Independent Cup during the summer of that same year, which was held in the Southwest Region. The team made the announcement that they had changed their name in September 2021 to the one they use now, and then they joined NISA for the 2022 season. The National Independent Soccer Association club that will be known as Valley United FC will be the first one to be owned by Latinos. In addition, the club will compete in the United States Open Cup for the first time ever in the 2022 season.
