Thank you for being here!
Hi, I’m Carlos! A coach, sports enthusiast, and the founder of FCScout.com.
I fell in love with the game at a very young age like many of you. I’ve been following and playing soccer for many years.
Throughout my career, I always enjoyed helping soccer players chase their dreams, which is why I started this website. I wanted to reach a larger audience outside of my local area and fcscout.com was born.
This website is a platform I will be using to update club pages on any tryouts, stadiums, players, tech, and more from clubs around the world. I also create free recruitment profiles for players looking to have that extra competitive edge when reaching out to clubs.
That’s it. That’s my pitch for you to stick around (or browse the site as you please).
This is already too much text for a “see more” drop-down button thing. If you want to reach out to me, head on over to my contact page 🙂

Sampdoria History
The name of the team is a combination of the two previous names, and the jersey incorporates both of the previous teams’ color schemes (blue and white, as well as white, red, and black) into a single design. This reflects the merger of the two teams.
Because the squad wears blue jerseys with white, red, and black hoops, they are sometimes referred to as the blucerchiati (“blue-circled”). The Sampdoria football team plays its home games in the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, which has a capacity of 36,536 and is shared with Genoa’s other club, the Genoa Cricket and Football Club. The competition between the two teams is referred to as the Derby della Lanterna by the locals.
The only time in Sampdoria’s history when they were crowned champions of the Scudetto was in 1991. In addition, the club has triumphed in the Coppa Italia on four separate occasions, namely in 1985, 1988, 1989, and 1994, as well as the Supercoppa Italiana on a single occasion, in 1991. The Cup Winners’ Cup victory in 1990 was the pinnacle of their achievements in Europe to that point. In addition, they competed in the final of the European Cup in 1992, but ultimately fell to Barcelona by a score of 0–1 after extra time.
Stadium
In the city of Genoa, Italy, there is a multi-purpose stadium known as the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris. It is also known as the Marassi, after the name of the neighborhood in which it is situated. It first opened its doors in 1911 and is one of the oldest stadiums in Italy that is still in use for football and other sports. It is the home of both the Genoa C.F.C. and the U.C. Sampdoria football clubs.
In addition to football, the stadium has on occasion played host to rugby matches contested by the Italian national team and, on a far more seldom basis, concerts. The stadium has approximately 36,000 seats available for patrons to use.
Crest
The profile of a sailor bearing the old Genoese name Baciccia, which translates to Giovanni Battista in Italian or John-Baptist in English, is depicted on the club crest. Baciccia was a historical name for the city of Genoa. Because Sampdoria is located in Genoa, a port city, the image of a sailor is a fitting choice for the team’s mascot. The actual design of the Baciccia was taken from a comic book titled Topolino that was published in 1980 by Panini under permission from Disney. Since 1980, the Sampdoria club crest, known as the Baciccia, has been featured on the club’s jerseys, most frequently on the chest but also on the sleeves on occasion.
The combination of two teams, Sampierdarenese and Andrea Doria, who both wore red/black and white/blue jerseys with a shield featuring a Saint George cross led to the formation of the club that now bears those colors: white, blue, red, and black. These colors also signify the club’s roots.
