Thank you for being here!
Hi, I’m Carlos! A coach, sports enthusiast, and the founder of FCScout.com.
I fell in love with the game at a very young age like many of you. I’ve been following and playing soccer for many years.
Throughout my career, I always enjoyed helping soccer players chase their dreams, which is why I started this website. I wanted to reach a larger audience outside of my local area and fcscout.com was born.
This website is a platform I will be using to update club pages on any tryouts, stadiums, players, tech, and more from clubs around the world. I also create free recruitment profiles for players looking to have that extra competitive edge when reaching out to clubs.
That’s it. That’s my pitch for you to stick around (or browse the site as you please).
This is already too much text for a “see more” drop-down button thing. If you want to reach out to me, head on over to my contact page đŸ™‚
Oud-Heverlee Leuven, also called OH Leuven or OHL, is a Belgian football club from the city of Leuven, Belgium. The club competes in the Belgian Pro League, the top flight of Belgian football.
Oud-Heverlee Leuven Youth Development System
Oud-Heverlee Leuven Academy Vision
It is OHL’s long-term vision to:
Be successful, emphasize the youth academy, be a deeply connected club that lives in the hearts of the community, create great experiences, and have a positive social impact.
Academy Mission
We believe that doing things the right way will lead to success. Our goal is therefore to connect, develop and win. This both on and off the field.
We believe doing things the right way will lead to success:
Success can be achieved by cheating or by taking the right path. At OHL, we believe there is only one way to success, by doing things the right way. That means we believe we have to play the right way on the field. The right path for our fans means they are here for life, because they love the club and what it stands for. Not because of the last victory or a shiny trophy in the closet. The right path for our community means listening to them, integrating us and making sure that everything we do has a positive impact for them. The right path for our commercial partners means building our brands together in order to strengthen them. The right path for the game leaders means to treat them with due respect, both on and off the field.
Our goal is to connect, develop and win. This both on and off the field:
We exist to put our community behind the team and behind the club. We want to unite them, both on and off the field. We do this because we are 100% sure that we are stronger together. When we work together, we are stronger than ever. If we act in unison, we support each other optimally. We exist to develop as a player, as a person, as a team and as a club, but also as a community. We don’t believe there is a finish line. The story is never finished. We can always do better: as a player, trainer, supporter, or just as a person. That is why we strive to continue to develop and support each other in this. We exist to win, in everything we do: on the field, in the community, or in our behaviors. But we don’t want to win at all costs. We win the right way. Because if winning on the field means losing our dignity, then we won’t. After all, we believe that winners are winners in all aspects of life.

Scouting & Trials OHL Academy
We want to identify and attract the widest possible spectrum of talented football players with an open mind. We want to help every talent to develop his / her potential to the full. As a football player, athlete and person. We want to offer him / her an unforgettable experience in a safe, (child) friendly environment that has a positive influence on his / her life, regardless of whether he / she becomes a professional football player or not.
How does scouting and recruitment work at the OHL Academy?
We have a network of (youth) scouts who work locally and nationally for our club. They mainly look for players from U6 to U16, but also older (the higher the age group, the smaller the chance of test training – but it is certainly not impossible). Once a scout has identified a player, he will notify the Head of Scouting & Recruitment. He then decides whether the club will proceed with the scout’s recommendation.
Are open test training courses possible and how do I get an invitation?
We do not organize open test training courses . We always look at players in their local clubs before inviting them to test training. For the ages U7-U12 we provide with OHL GO! a lengthy testing program. This consists of three to four test training sessions built around different themes. This allows us to test and assess players longer and more thoroughly. To learn more about his program, please click here as it is one of the clubs best approaches to having the player scouted.
How do I know if a scout has seen me?
You may never notice that. Our scouts do not wear club equipment as their presence can put unnecessary pressure on players. This can make the players very nervous (this is especially true for younger players) or try much harder because they think someone is looking at them. Before we approach parents of players, we preferably first contact their club or trainer. Via the club you can find out whether a scout has seen you.
I keep contacting clubs, but I am never invited. What can I do to get scouted?Football is extremely competitive. Of course, talent is required, but resilience and determination are also needed to be successful. Some players are noticed early and others develop later. So keep working hard and keep in touch with clubs at different levels, the higher the level you are currently playing at, the more likely scouts will notice you. Even if you have not been invited by us for a test training, keep trying to play in better leagues when you can. Don’t lose heart. And no matter how far you get, do it for fun. Professional recognition may be a goal, but above all, a love of the game will give you satisfaction, regardless of the outcome!
Where can I leave my details?Enter your details via this form . Don’t forget that we receive a lot of requests every week. So we cannot respond to emails and we cannot follow everyone.
