The Olympisch Stadion was constructed specifically for use as the primary venue for the Summer Olympics that were held in Antwerp in 1920. The following competitions took place there during those games: athletics, equestrian, field hockey, football, gymnastics, modern pentathlon, rugby union, tug of war, weightlifting, and demonstration korfball.
After the conclusion of the Olympic Games, it was repurposed as a football stadium. Its current tenant is K Beerschot VA. There is no trace left of the athletics track that was used in the Olympics. There are approximately 12,000 seats available.
