Bologna History
Bologna was established in 1909 and was a founding member of Serie A. During the late 1930s, Bologna won a significant number of their league championships. In 1964, the team won the league championship for the final time, marking the end of their supremacy in the league.
They were successful in the 1970s, when they won both of their Coppa Italia titles, but in the latter part of the 20th century, they struggled to avoid relegation. As a result of poor management of the company’s finances, Bologna went through a number of ownership transitions in the early 2000s and 2010s. The company eventually found stability when it was acquired by a Canadian consortium led by Joey Saputo.
The 73 Serie A seasons in which Bologna have competed places them eighth on the all-time participation list for Italian football. Since 1927, the club’s home matches have been held in the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, which now ranks as Serie A’s tenth-largest stadium in terms of capacity.

Stadio Renato Dall’Ara is a multi-purpose stadium in Bologna, Italy. It is the primary venue for football matches at the moment and serves as the home ground for Bologna F.C. 1909.
The stadium dates back to 1927 and has a capacity of 38,279. In the past, people have also referred to it as the Stadio Littoriale. It took the place of the Sterlino Stadium. The field was given its current name in honor of Renato Dall’Ara, who served as mayor of Bologna for a total of thirty years.

Saputo also rates among the top makers of cheese. Operations in the United States contribute almost half of the company’s total sales. Saputo formerly held the rights to sell Hostess Brands products in Canada, including the Twinkie.
