BACK TO FRANCE CLUBS

Hi, I’m Carlos! A coach, sports enthusiast, and the founder of FCScout.com.

I fell in love with the game at a very young age like many of you. I’ve been following and playing soccer for many years.

Throughout my career, I always enjoyed helping soccer players chase their dreams, which is why I started this website. I wanted to reach a larger audience outside of my local area and fcscout.com was born.

This website is a platform I will be using to update club pages on any tryouts, stadiums, players, tech, and more from clubs around the world. I also create free recruitment profiles for players looking to have that extra competitive edge when reaching out to clubs.

That’s it. That’s my pitch for you to stick around (or browse the site as you please).

This is already too much text for a “see more” drop-down button thing. If you want to reach out to me, head on over to my contact page 🙂

RC Lens Youth Development System

RC Lens La Gaillette Training Center

The La Gaillette technical and sports center is the lifeblood of Racing and offers it an exceptional working tool. Inaugurated in 2002, this complex brings together most of the club’s activity sectors: administrative offices, training center and of course training center for the professional team. Equipped with an incomparable reception and accommodation infrastructure, the most modern facilities, and numerous football pitches and synthetic lawns, one of which is under a dome sixteen meters high, La Gaillette places Racing Lens club at the forefront of European clubs in terms of high level equipment. These beautiful facilities also allow the club to host many companies, federations, or football leagues for seminars or training courses.

LA GAILLETTE IN FIGURES

  • Total area: 22 hectares
    • 15 courts
    • 12 courts including 3 synthetic
    • 1 dome 16 meters high
  • 150 young people in training
    • About 60 young people housed all year round
  • 250 places available in the amphitheater

Lawn

La Gaillette is first and foremost a set of a dozen pitches, all named after famous football stadiums around the world, spread over an area of twenty-two hectares, and shared between young players and professionals. . Wembley and Old Trafford are thus intended for training and pre-training while the first team uses the San Siro, Camp Nou or Maracana for grass pitches, the Arena in synthetic fiber, the pit for the specific job.

Proof of the dedication to the smallest detail, the grass of Wembley was sown like that of Bollaert, while for the others it is veneered grass, which will offer the Blood and Gold the possibility of working on the different types. of lawn that we find in the championship of France. Synthetics also have a special coating with rubber balls, which for example prevents defenders from burning their thighs when tackling.

Dome

One of the most original features of the Center de La Gaillette is the dome of the Arena: a 72 x 58 meter covered synthetic, unique in Europe in particular because of its height (sixteen meters compared to only eight meters at Clairefontaine and Saint-Etienne), which offers a similar degree of light outdoors during the day.

CHANGING ROOMS AND FACILITIES

In the changing rooms, all possible comfort has been offered to professionals with a multi-jet pool for relaxation and treatment.

A sauna, a richly equipped weight room, and leisure rooms (reading the press, billiards, table football) have also been set up in this space.

The youngest have a little less spacious premises according to the will of the club which has decided to make young people who arrive at Racing aware of the path they still have to accomplish. In the same vein, the training grounds for the youngest will be furthest from the locker rooms.

ACCOMMODATION AND CATERING

Training center, La Gaillette will also be a place of life since the youth rooms are located on the upper floors of the building. Passing players or parents can also stay in the hotel part of the center (around 20 rooms).

Finally, a large area has been dedicated to catering, more than 300 meals can be served each day.

RC Lens has an academy structure integrated into the club. According to their official website, RC Lens has Pro2 (~U21), Elite U19, U17 Hopes, U16 Hopes, U12-U15 (Pre-Training), and U9-U11.

Stadium

Stade Bollaert-Delelis, which was constructed in 1933, is the primary football stadium in Lens, which is located in France. RC Lens calls this place its headquarters. The capacity of the stadium is 38,058, which is almost 7,000 greater than the population of the city.

Félix Bollaert, a director of Compagnie des Mines de Lens who was eager to foster the development of sports clubs in the city, was the person who gave his name to the stadium when it was first built. The construction of the stadium began in 1931, but Bollaert passed away not long before it was opened to the public. After the passing of André Delelis in 2012, the stadium was rechristened as the Stade Bollaert-Delelis. André Delelis was a politician who had previously served as the Minister of Commerce under Francois Mitterrand. He was the former mayor of the city.
